Bay Area Open Space Council
2015 – $10,000 general support

The Bay Area Open Space Council (BAOSC) is made up of 65 member organizations that work collaboratively to connect people to land, and steward parks, trails, working lands and other open spaces. BAOSC has developed and maintained many databases and resources to provide the Bay Area’s conservation community data to protect the local open spaces.

The Conservation Lands Network (CLN) is a web-based tool designed to help all people protect the Bay Area’s most critical open spaces, and the BAOSC is working to update and augment the CLN to exhibit climate change research. This information will be used by land managers to plan for more conservation land to create parks, trails, agriculture, etc. The CLN will deliver cutting-edge climate change research to those focused on strategic land planning.
